UK Legislation
On the 1st April 2022, the UK Government implemented the first stage of their EPR preparations, the Plastic Packaging Tax, or PPT. Designed to target those businesses importing or manufacturing over 10 tonnes of plastics per year, the PPT is designed to prepare the rest of the UK's commercial sector for the implementation of EPR, which is due to be rolled out in 2024.
